Genesis Chapter 14

In the days of King Amraphel of Shinar, King Arioch of Ellasar, King Chedorlaomer of Elam, and the Tidal king of nations,
they made war with King Bera of Sodom, King Birsha of Gomorrah, King Shinab of Admah, King Shemeber of Zeboim, and King Zoar of Bela.
All these were joined together in the valley of Siddim that is the salt sea.
They served Chedorlaomer twelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him struck the giants in Ashteroth Karnaim and the Zuzim in Ham and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
and the Horites in Mount Seir, as far as the oak of Paran that is by the wilderness.
They returned and came to Enmishpat, that is Kadesh, and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites who lived in Hazazontamar.
The king of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboim and the King Zoar of Bela joined the battle in the valley of Siddim.
King Chedorlaomer of Elam and with Tidal the king of nations and King Amraphel of Shinar and King Arioch of Ellasar, four kings with five.
The valley of Siddim was full of asphalt pits. The kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled and fell there. Those who remained fled to the mountain.
They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food and went their way.
They took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who lived in Sodom and all his goods and went away.
Then one who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew, for he lived in the plains of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. These had a covenant with Abram.
When Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he led his 318 trained servants, born in his own house, and pursued them to Dan.
He and his servants divided against them by night and he struck and pursued them to Hobah on the left of Damascus.
He brought back all the goods and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, and the women and the people.
The king of Sodom went to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and of the kings with him, at the valley of Shaveh that is the king's valley.
Melchizedek the king of Salem brought forth bread and wine. He was the priest of the most high God.
He blessed him and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of Heaven and earth.
Blessed be the most high God who has delivered your enemies to you. He gave him tithes of everything.
The king of Sodom said to Abram, Give me the people and take the goods for yourself.
Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to the Lord the most high God, the possessor of Heaven and earth.
I will take from all that is yours, not from a thread even to a shoestring lest you say, I have made Abram rich.
Nothing for me, only what the young men have eaten and the portion of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.
