Psalms Chapter 94

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs; God of vengeance show yourself.
Lift up yourself, Judge of the earth. Give a just repayment to the proud.
How long shall the wicked, O Lord, how long shall the wicked exult?
They gush. They speak impudent things. All the workers of iniquity speak proudly.
They crush your people, O Lord, and afflict your inheritance.
They kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob observe it.
Understand, you beastly ones among the people. And fools, when will you be wise?
He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?
The Lord knows the thoughts of mankind that are vain.
Blessed are those whom you chasten, O Lord, to teach them out of your law.
May you give them rest from the days of trouble, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
For the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.
But judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart will follow it.
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost lived in silence.
When I said, my foot slips. Your mercy, O Lord, held me up.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with you who frames mischief by a law?
They gather against the soul of the righteous and condemn innocent blood.
But the Lord is my defense. My God is the rock of my refuge.
He will bring on them their own iniquity and He will cut them off in their evil. The Lord our God shall cut them off.
