Question:  What is the difference between "All Rights Reserved" and "Only commercial rights are reserved" ?

Answer:  The AV7 Bible copyright notice states "Only commercial rights are reserved.  All others may freely copy."

Most commercially sponsored and promoted versions of the Bible stipulate the legal warning "All Rights Reserved" usually with the additional warning:  "No part of this book may be copied or distributed in any form without the explicit written permission of the publisher" ... or words to that effect.

It seems very strange and questionable that any publisher of the Bible would make such a claim of exclusive proprietary ownership of their version or translation of the Bible.

The copyright notice page in The AV7 Bible also includes this statement:

All Scripture texts contained herein
are the gift of Almighty God to mankind
and may be freely copied for any non-commercial use* ...

The only further "*" stipulations in The AV7 Bible copyright notice are that no changes may be made in the text and that "commercial" reproduction of the text requires an appropriate license from the copyright holder, The New Authorized Version Foundation.
