The Gospel as surveyed by Luke
The Gospel of Luke presents Yeshua-Jesus Christ as man, from the human perspective. It includes a more complete family tree going all the way back to the first man created by God, plus additional details about Jesus' birth and early life.
Luke emphasizes the fact that Jesus came to be the Savior of the entire world, not only for God's chosen people, the children of Abraham. Major themes include prayer, joy, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus' concern for the poor, minorities, and for the oppressed.
