1 Corinthians Chapter 5 1 It is commonly reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even+ named among the Gentiles: That one should have his father's wife.2 And you are puffed up, instead+ of mourning so that the one who has done this deed might be taken out from among you.3 For truly+, even though I am absent in body, but present in the spirit, I have already judged this as though I were present, concerning the one who has done this deed.4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit with you, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh so that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.6 Your boasting+ is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven permeates+ the whole lump?7 Therefore, purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, as you are, unleavened. For Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven or with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.9 I wrote to you in an epistle to not keep company with fornicators.10 Yet that does not mean entirely+ isolated from the fornicators of this world or from the covetous or extortioners or from idolaters. For then you must need to go out of the world.11 But now I have written to you to not keep company with them if anyone who is called a believer+ is a fornicator or covetous or an idolater or a railer~ or a drunkard or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a one.12 Should I judge those who are outside+ the faith? No. But do you not judge those who are within?13 God judges those who are outside+. Therefore, put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
