2 Thessalonians Chapter 3

1 Finally, family+, pray for us: That the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, even as it is with you.
2 Pray that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men, for all do not have faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who will strengthen+ you and keep you from evil.
4 We have confidence in the Lord touching you, that you both do and will continue to do the things that we charged+ you to do.
5 May the Lord direct your hearts in the love of God and in waiting patiently for Christ.
6 Now we charge+ you family+, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every member of the family+ who walks disorderly and not according+ to the tradition received from us.
7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us. For we did not behave ourselves disorderly among you.
8 Nor did we eat anyone's bread for nothing. But we worked+ with labor and toil+ night and day so that we might not be a burden+ to any of you,
9 not because we do not have authority+, but to make ourselves an example to you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, we instructed+ you that if any would not work, neither should they eat.
11 For we hear that some among you are walking disorderly and not working at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now those who are such we instruct+ and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ to work with quietness and eat their own bread.
13 But family+, do not be weary in well doing.
14 If anyone does not obey our word by this epistle, note that person and have no company with them so that they may be ashamed.
15 Yet do not count them as an enemy, but admonish them as a member of the family+.
16 Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always, by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17 The salutation Paul by my own hand is my signature+ on every epistle I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
