Ephesians Chapter 4

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the vocation into which you are called,
with all lowliness and meekness and with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
Endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling.
One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all.
But to everyone of us, grace is given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Therefore He said: When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to people+. Psalm 68:18
Knowing that He ascended, what is to be understood but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the Earth?
He who descended is the same also who ascended up far above all heavens so that He might fill all things.
He gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers
for the perfecting~ of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ,
until we all come in the unity of the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God to a perfect~ man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Therefore we must no longer+ be like children tossed to and fro and carried away+ with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight and cunning craftiness of those who lie in wait to deceive.
But we must speak the truth in love and grow up into Him who is the head, Christ, in all things.
Through Christ, the whole body is fitly joined together and connected+ by what every joint supplies. Accordingly, the effective working together+ of every part increases the body edifying itself in love.
Therefore this I say and testify in the Lord: You must no longer+ walk as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
having the understanding darkened, and being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
Being past feeling, they have given themselves over to filthiness+, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
But you have not so learned Christ.
If indeed+ you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus,
then you will put off the old self+, concerning the former conversation~ and conduct that is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
and put on the new man, which, after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Therefore put away lying. Everyone+ must speak truth with their neighbor. For we are members of one another.
If you become+ angry, do not sin. Do not let the Sun go down upon your wrath. Psalm 37:8
Do not give place to the devil.
Let those who stole, steal no longer+. But rather let them labor, working with their hands in the things that are good so that they may have sufficient to give to those who have needs. Proverbs 21:26
Do not let corrupt~ communication proceed out of your mouth, but what is good to the use of edifying so that it may minister grace to the hearers. Matthew 12:35
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed to the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all malice.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
