Galatians Chapter 1 1 From Paul, an apostle, not of men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead,2 and from all the family+ who are with me. To the assemblies+ of Galatia.3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ4 who gave Himself for our sins so that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father,5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.6 I marvel that you so quickly+ turned+ away from Him who called you into the grace of Christ, to a different+ Gospel.7 There is not another valid Gospel. Yet there are some who trouble you and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.8 But if we or an angel from heaven proclaim+ any Gospel to you, different than what we have already proclaimed+ to you, let them be accursed.9 As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone+ proclaims+ any Gospel to you other than what you have already received, let them be accursed.10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.11 But I certify to you, family+, that the Gospel that was proclaimed+ by me is not from man.12 For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it by man. But it came to me by the revelation of Jesus Christ.13 For you have heard about my conversation~ and conduct in the past, in Judaism+. You know that I excessively+ persecuted the assembly+ of God beyond measure, and ravaged+ it.14 And I advanced+ in the Jews' religion beyond+ many of my peers+ in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers~.15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me by His grace,16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might proclaim+ Him among the heathen, immediately I conferred~, not with flesh and blood,17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went to Arabia. Then, I returned again to Damascus.18 Then after three years, I went to Jerusalem to see Peter and stayed+ with him fifteen days.19 But I did not see the other apostles, except+ James the brother of the Lord.20 Now behold what I write to you. Before God, I do not lie.21 Then, I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.22 I was unknown, in person+, to the assemblies+ of Judea that were in Christ.23 But they had heard only this: That he who once+ persecuted us, now proclaims+ the faith that he once ravaged+.24 And they glorified God in me.
