 1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made mankind in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female and blessed them and He called their name man in the day when they were created. 3 Adam lived 130 years and fathered a son in his own likeness, after his own image, and he named him Seth. 4 The days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were 800 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 5 All the days that Adam lived were 930 years and he died. 6 Seth lived 105 years and fathered Enos. 7 After he fathered Enos, Seth lived 807 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 8 All the days of Seth were 912 and he died. 9 Enos lived 90 years and fathered Cainan. 10 After he fathered Cainan, Enos lived 815 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 11 All the days of Enos were 905 years and he died. 12 Cainan lived 70 years and fathered Mahalaleel. 13 After he fathered Mahalaleel, Cainan lived 840 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 14 All the days of Cainan were 910 years and he died. 15 Mahalaleel lived 65 years and fathered Jared. 16 After he fathered Jared, Mahalaleel lived 830 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 17 All the days of Mahalaleel were 895 years and he died. 18 Jared lived 162 years and fathered Enoch. 19 After he fathered Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 20 All the days of Jared were 962 years and he died. 21 Enoch lived 65 years and fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch walked with God 300 years after he fathered Methuselah and he fathered sons and daughters. 23 All the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God, and then he was not, for God took him. 25 Methuselah lived 187 years and fathered Lamech. 26 After he fathered Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 27 All the days of Methuselah were 969 years and he died. 28 Lamech lived 182 years and fathered a son. 29 He named him Noah saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground that the Lord has cursed. 30 After he fathered Noah, Lamech lived 595 years and he fathered sons and daughters. 31 All the days of Lamech were 777 years and he died. 32 Noah was 500 years old and Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
