Genesis Chapter 7
1 The Lord said to Noah, You and all your house come into the ark. For I have seen you righteous before me in this generation.
2 You shall take with you every clean animal by sevens, the male and female. And take two of the animals that are not clean, the male and female.
3 Also take of the fowls of the air by sevens, the male and the female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 In seven more days I will cause it to rain upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights. So I will destroy every living thing that I have made off the face of the earth.
5 So Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.
6 Noah was 600 years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.
7 Noah went into the ark, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives went in with him. Because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of the clean animals and of the animals that were not clean and of the fowls and of everything that creeps on the earth,
9 two by two they went in with Noah into the ark. Male and female as God had commanded Noah.
10 After seven days, the waters of the flood came onto the earth.
11 In the 600th year of Noah's life, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the windows of the heavens were opened up.
12 The rain came upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights.
13 In this same day, Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark.
14 They all went in. Every animal after its kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind and every bird of every kind.
15 They all went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which is the breath of life.
16 Those that entered went in male and female of all flesh as God had commanded. And the Lord shut him in.
17 Then the flood came upon the earth 40 days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark and it was lifted up above the earth.
18 The waters prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth. The ark floated upon the face of the waters.
19 The waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth. All the high hills under the whole Heaven were covered.
20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward and the mountains were covered.
21 All flesh that moved upon the face of the earth died, birds, cattle, animals, every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, and every human.
22 All who breathed the breath of life and of all that lived on the dry land died.
23 Every living thing that was on the face of the earth was destroyed, from man to cattle, and to the creeping things, and the fowls of the heavens. They were destroyed from the earth and only Noah was left and those who were with him in the ark.
24 The waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days.
