Hebrews Chapter 10

For the law, having only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very image of those things, can never, with those sacrifices that they offered year by year continually, make those who come to that perfect~.
For then would they not have stopped+ being offered? Because the worshipers, once purged~, would have had no more conscience of sins.
But in those sacrifices, there is a remembrance of sins made again every year.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire+, but you have prepared a body for me. Psalm 40:6
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure~. Malachi 1:10
Then I said: Behold, I have come. As it is written in the pages+ of the book about me: I delight to do your will, O God. Psalm 40:7,8
Above~ saying: Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you would not desire nor have pleasure~ in, such as were offered according to the law, Matthew 9:13
He then said: Behold, I come to do your will O God. In this, He takes away the first so that He may establish the second.
By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Every priest stands daily ministering and repeatedly+ offering the same sacrifices that can never take away sins.
But after Jesus had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at the right hand of God,
thereafter waiting+ expectantly until His enemies be made His footstool.
For by one offering He has perfected~ forever those who are sanctified.
The Holy Spirit is also a witness to us. For after He had said before:
This is the covenant~ that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them. Jeremiah 31:33
Their sins and iniquities I will remember no longer+. Jeremiah 31:34
Now where remission~ of these sins is, there is no more need for sacrificial offering for sin.
Therefore family+, having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way that He has consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say His flesh,
having a high priest over the house of God:
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering. For He who promised is faithful.
Let us consider one another to provoke~ one another to love and to good works.
Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhort one another. So much the more, as you see the day approaching.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins.
But there will be a certain fearful expectation+ of judgment and fiery indignation that will devour the adversaries.
Those who despised Moses' law died without mercy under the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Of how much greater+ punishment do you suppose one+ shall be thought worthy who has trampled+ the Son of God under foot and has counted the blood of the covenant~ with which they were sanctified an unholy thing and has done dishonor+ to the Spirit of grace?
For we know Him who said: Vengeance belongs to me. I will repay+, says the Lord. And again: The Lord will judge His people. Deuteronomy 32:35,36
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
But remember the former days in which, after you were enlightened+, you endured a great fight of afflictions.
Partly while you were made a subject of stares+ both by reproaches and afflictions and partly while you became companions of those who were abiding+ in them.
For you had compassion for me in my chains+ and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
Therefore do not cast away your confidence that has great repayment+ of reward.
For you have need of patience so that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.
For it will be only+ a little while and He who is coming will indeed come and will not delay+. Habakkuk 2:3 John 16:16
Now the just shall live by faith. But if anyone draws back, my soul will not delight+ in them. Habakkuk 2:4
We are not drawing back to damnation+, but we have faith+ in the saving~ of the soul.
