Matthew Chapter 18 1 At the same time the disciples came to Jesus saying: Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?2 Jesus called a little child to Himself and sat him down in the midst of them3 and said: Truly+ I say to you: Unless+ you be converted and become as little children, you will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.4 Whoever therefore will humble themselves as this little child, the same is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.5 Whoever will receive one such little child in my name receives me.6 But whoever offends and sins against one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for them if+ a millstone were hung around+ their neck and if they were drowned in the depth of the sea.7 Woe to the world because of offenses. For it must be that offenses come, but woe to those through whom the offenses come.8 Therefore if your hand or your foot causes+ you to sin, cut them off and cast them from you. It is better for you to enter into life crippled+ or maimed rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.9 If your eye causes+ you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye rather than having two eyes to be cast into Hell fire.10 Take heed that you do not despise~ one of these little ones. For I say to you: In heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father in heaven.11 For the Son of man has come to save those who were lost.12 What do you think? If a man had a hundred sheep and one of them was gone astray, would he not leave the ninety nine and go into the mountains and seek what is gone astray?13 And if he finds it, truly+ I say to you: He rejoices more over that one than over+ the ninety nine that did not go astray.14 Even so, it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.15 If one of your family+ sins+ against you, go and warn+ them about their error between you and them alone. If they will hear you, then you will have rescued+ your family+ member.16 But if they will not hear, then take with you one or two more so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. Deuteronomy 19:1517 And if they will neglect to hear them, then tell it to the church~. But if they neglect to hear the church then let them be to you as a heathen and a worldly+ person.18 Truly+ I say to you: Whatever you bind on Earth will already be bound in Heaven and whatever you loose on Earth will already be loosed in Heaven.19 Again I say to you: If two of you agree on Earth as touching anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.21 Then Peter came to Him and said: Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Until seven times?22 Jesus said to him: I do not say to you until seven times but until seventy times seven.23 The Kingdom of Heaven may be compared+ to a certain king who wanted to take account of his servants.24 When he had begun the review+, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.25 But since+ he had nothing with which to pay, his lord~ commanded him to be sold and his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made.26 The servant therefore fell down and worshiped him saying: Lord have patience with me and I will pay you all.27 Then the lord~ of that servant was moved with compassion and released+ him and forgave him the debt.28 But the same servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him four months wages+ and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat saying: Pay me what you owe.29 His fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged+ Him saying: Have patience with me and I will pay you all.30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison until he should pay the debt.31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry and came and told their lord~ all that was done.32 Then his lord~, after he had called him, said to him: O you wicked servant. I forgave you all that debt because you begged+ me.33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant even as I had pity on you?34 And his lord~ was angry+ and delivered him to the torturers+ until he should pay all that was due to him.35 So likewise will my heavenly Father do also to you if you do not, from your hearts, forgive everyone of the family+ of God for their trespasses~.
