 1 To the angel of the assembly+ of believers in Ephesus write: These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks: 2 I know your works and your labor and your patience and how you cannot bear those who are evil. You have tested+ those who say they are apostles and are not and have found them to be liars. 3 You have carried+ the load and endured with patience and for my name's sake you have labored and have not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have something against you because you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen and repent and do the first works. Or else I will come to you quickly and remove your candlestick out of its place, unless you repent. 6 But you have this right: That you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans~ who commit fornication, which I also hate. 7 Those who have an ear, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the assemblies+. To those who overcome I will give the reward to eat from the tree of life that is in the midst of the paradise of God. 8 To the angel of the assembly+ in Smyrna write: The First and The Last who was dead and is now alive says these things: 9 I know your works and tribulation and poverty. Yet you are really rich. I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of the things that you must suffer. Behold the devil will cast some of you into prison so that you may be tested+ and have tribulation for ten days. But be faithful even to death and I will give you a crown of life. 11 Let those who have an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the assemblies+. Those who overcome will not be hurt by the second death. 12 To the angel of the assembly+ in Pergamos write: These things says He who has the sharp sword with two edges. 13 I know your works and where you live, even where Satan's throne+ is. You hold fast to my name and have not denied faith in me, even in those days in which my faithful martyr Antipas was slain where Satan lives among you. 14 But I have a few things against you because you have some there who hold to the doctrine of Balaam who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel and to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication. 15 You also have some who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans~, which I hate. 16 Therefore repent. For if you do not, I will come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 Let those who have an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the assemblies+. To those who overcome I will give the reward to eat of the hidden manna~ and I will give them a white stone and in the stone a new name written that no one knows except+ those who receive it. 18 To the angel of the assembly+ in Thyatira write: The Son of God who has eyes like a flame of fire and feet like fine brass says these things: 19 I know your works, your love and service, your faith and patience, and that your last works are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you because you allow+ that woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess to teach and seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 I gave her time+ to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent. 22 Behold I will cast her into bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death. All the assemblies+ will know that I Am He who searches the reins~ and hearts. I will give to everyone of you according to your works. 24 But I say to you and to the rest in Thyatira, to as many as do not have this doctrine and who have not known the depths of Satan as they speak, I will put no other burden on you. 25 Hold fast what you have until I come. 26 To those who overcome and keep my works to the end I will give authority+ over the nations, 27 to rule them with a rod of iron. Just like the vessels that the potter breaks, so also will they receive judgment from+ my Father. 28 I will give them The Morning Star. 29 Let those who have an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the assemblies+.
