Revelation Chapter 4
1 After this I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven. The first voice that I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me and saying: Come up here and I will show you things that must be fulfilled after this.
2 Immediately, I became⁺ in the spirit and behold, a throne was set in heaven and one was sitting on the throne.
3 He who sat there was like a jasper and a ruby⁺ stone in appearance. And a rainbow was all around⁺ the throne, like an emerald in appearance.
4 All around⁺ the throne were twenty four seats and on the seats I saw twenty four elders sitting. They were clothed in white clothing⁺ and had gold crowns on their heads.
5 Lightning, thunder, and voices came forth⁺ out of the throne and seven lamps of fire representing the seven spirits of God were burning before the throne.
6 Before the throne was a sea of glass like crystal. In the midst of the throne and all around⁺ the throne were four beasts full of eyes both in front⁺ and behind.
7 The first beast was like a lion. The second beast like a calf. The third beast had a face like a man. And the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 The four beasts each had six wings around them and they were full of eyes within. They did not rest day and night saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come.
9 When the beasts give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits upon the throne and who lives forever~ and ever,
10 the twenty four elders fall down before Him who sits upon the throne and they worship Him who lives forever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne saying:
11 You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power. For you have created all things and for your will⁺ they are and they were created.
