Revelation Chapter 5 1 And then I saw in the right hand of God sitting on His throne a scroll written both inside and on the backside and sealed with seven seals.2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the scroll and loosen its seals?3 No one in Heaven or on the Earth or under the Earth was able to open the scroll or look upon it.4 I wept many tears because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll or even to look upon it.5 One of the elders said to me: Do not weep. Behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David has prevailed to open the scroll and loosen its seven seals.6 I observed+ and saw in the midst of the throne and among the four beasts and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb that had been slain. But now He had seven horns and seven eyes that are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the Earth.7 He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of the one who sat upon the throne.8 And when He had taken the scroll, the four beasts and twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had harps and golden vials full of fragrances+, which are the prayers of saints.9 They sang a new song saying: You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals for you were slain and thereby redeemed us to God by your blood out of every family+, tongue, people, and nation.10 You have made us kings and priests to reign upon the Earth.11 Then I saw+ and heard the voice of many angels all around+ the throne. The number of beasts and elders was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.12 With a loud voice, they were all saying: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.13 Every creature in Heaven and on the Earth and under the Earth and such as are in the sea and all who are in them, I heard saying: Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who is upon the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever.14 The four beasts said: Amen. And the twenty four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
