Romans Chapter 3

What advantage then has the Jew? Or what benefit+ is there in circumcision?
Much in every way. Chiefly because, to them were committed the oracles of God.
For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
That cannot be+. Yes, let God be true but everyone else a liar. As it is written: That you might be justified in your sayings and might overcome when you are judged. Psalm 51:4
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? Paul says, aside: I speak as a man.
It cannot be+ that God would be unrighteous. For then how shall God judge the world?
For if the truth of God has more abounded through my lie to His glory, then why am I yet also judged as a sinner?
Not rather, as we have been slanderously accused+, and as some have affirmed that we say: Let us do evil so that good may come. Their judgment+ is just.
What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way+. For we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles~, that they are all under sin.
As it is written: There are none righteous, no not one. Psalm 14:3
There are none who understand. There are none who seek after God. Psalm 14:2
They have all gone out of the way and they together have become unprofitable~. There are none who do good. No not one. Psalm 14:1
Their throats are an open tomb+. With their tongues they have used deceit. The poison of asps is under their lips. Psalm 5:9
Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Psalm 10:7
Their feet are swift to shed blood. Isaiah 59:7
Destruction and misery are in their ways. Isaiah 59:7
They have not known the way of peace. Isaiah 59:8
There is no fear of God before their eyes. Psalm 36:1
Now we know what things the law declares. It says to those who are under the law that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is revealed+, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.
The righteousness of God comes by faith in Jesus Christ to all and upon all who believe. For there is no difference.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
All are being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
God has set Jesus forth to be a means of reconciliation+ through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God,
to declare His righteousness at this time so that He might be just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a person+ is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Is God the God of the Jews only? Is He not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.
Seeing it is one God who will justify the circumcision by faith and the uncircumcision through faith,
do we then make void the law through faith? That cannot be+. Yes rather, we establish the law.
