Romans Chapter 7

Do you not know, family+, for I speak to those who know the law, that the law has dominion over people+ as long as they live?
For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband is dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
So then if while her husband lives, she is married to another man, then she shall be called an adulteress. But if her husband is dead, she is free from that law, so she is no adulteress even though she is married to another man.
Therefore my family+, you also have become dead to the law by the body of Christ so that you should be married to another, even to Christ who is raised from the dead, so that we would bring forth fruit to God.
For when we were in the flesh, the motions~ of sins as exposed by the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, being dead to that in which we were held so that we might serve in newness of spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? That cannot be+. No, I would not have known about sin, except+ by the law. For I would not have known about lust, except the law said: You shall not covet.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, produced+ in me all kinds+ of abnormal appetites+. For without the law, sin was dead.
For I was alive without the law once. But when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
and found+ that the commandment that was intended for life, could lead to death.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me and by it, killed+ me.
Therefore the law is holy and the commandment holy and just and good.
Then was what is good a cause of death to me? That cannot be+. But sin, so that it might appear as sin, produced+ death in me by what is good, so that sin, by the commandment, might become exceedingly sinful.
For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am worldly+, sold under sin.
For what I do, I allow not. For what I would do, that I do not. But what I hate, that do I.
Then if I do what I would not approve, I consent to the law that it is good.
Now then it is no longer+ I myself doing it, but sin that dwells in me.
For I know that good does not dwell in me, that is in my flesh. For to will to do good is present within me but how to perform what is good I do not find.
For the good that I want+ to do, I do not do. But the evil that I do not want to do, that I do.
Now if I do what I would not want to do, then it is no longer+ I myself doing it, but sin that dwells in me.
I find then a law: That when I would want to do good, evil is present with me.
For I delight in the law of God according+ to the inward man.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin that is lurking in my members.
O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
