 1 Family+, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved. 2 For I testify+ that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they, being ignorant~ about God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses described the righteousness that is attained by obedience to the law: That those who do those things shall live by them. Leviticus 18:5 6 But the righteousness of faith speak in this way: Do not say in your heart: Who shall ascend into heaven? For that is to bring Christ down from above. Deuteronomy 30:12 7 Or do not say: Who shall descend into the deep? For that is to bring Christ up from the dead. Deuteronomy 30:13 8 But what does it say? The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart. That is the Word of faith we proclaim+: Deuteronomy 30:14 9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Matthew 10:32 10 For with their hearts, people+ believe unto righteousness, and with their mouths confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scriptures declare: Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed. Isaiah 28:16 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek. For the same Lord over all is rich toward all who call upon Him. 13 For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone proclaiming the Word? 15 And how will they proclaim+ the Word unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim+ the Gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things. Isaiah 52:7 16 But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Isaiah says: Lord, who has believed our report? Isaiah 53:1 17 So then, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. 18 But I say: Have they not heard? Yes truly+, the sound of their voices went into all the Earth and their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:4 19 But I say: Did Israel not know? First Moses says: I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are no people and by a foolish nation I will anger you. Deuteronomy 32:21 20 Isaiah boldly said: I was found by those who did not seek me. I was revealed+ to those who did not ask for me.
